Gratitude

The Powerful Vibration of Gratitude

From Apryl Jensen - www.ICreateVitality.com

Have you ever felt truly grateful for something? Have you ever been so thrilled that tears came to your eyes?
True gratitude feels wonderful.
Somewhere along the lines most of us adopted the idea that being grateful was something we were “supposed to” do—something we had to force ourselves into. Perhaps as a child we were told, “Tell Aunt Emily THANK YOU for the nice gift” –but we hated the gift. So saying thank you became something we did, whether we really felt gratitude in our hearts or not. Our vibration of gratitude may have lost several degrees of sincerity—at least!
Whenever we are forced to do something—that is, we aren’t given the choice to act through our free will—we resist. As parents, we can see that we can MAKE children do things—like their chores, or behaving well—by manipulating the consequences. But this type of force does not foster a willingness in our children. We can never force their inner world, or the attitudes with which things are done.
We can make sure our children say “Thank you”—but we can never make sure they sincerely mean it.
Gratitude has been given a bad rap—we SHOULD be grateful, we should be thankful for what comes into our lives, whether we like it or not. Is that any fun? Is that even being true to ourselves? I don’t think so.
But the feeling of “I SHOULD be grateful” is not gratitude. In fact, it’s far from it!

Gratitude happens naturally, as a result of where we choose to focus our thoughts.
When we are in gratitude, we focus on what we have and love. If what we focus on grows, then what are we creating? More of that which we love and appreciate.
I remember some times I felt profound, true gratitude.
When I fell in love with my husband. That’s why people in love are so giddy—they are in sincere gratitude.
When my children were born—or rather, several hours afterward once I’d had some time to rest and recuperate. I remember with each of my children, holding them close to me, feeling their warmth—and what I now recognize as their extremely high vibrational energy. I felt so much joy, tears fell steadily.
Children express gratitude without refrain. Have you noticed how easy it is to excite a child?
“Hey, guess what! We’re going to do something fun!”
Already they are like eager puppies, thrilled to hear more, already rejoicing in something wonderful—they don’t even know what. Their body language changes, they get up and come running to you. “What? What is it?” Their faces are already beaming!
Gratitude is a natural state. It’s up there with childlike joy and childlike wonder.

Only after years of disappointment have we learned to temper our joy and gratitude—to not get our hopes up. “I’d better not be too happy about this—what if something goes wrong?”
Little by little we learn to feel joy and gratitude less and less, to suppress those emotions that once flowed so naturally. Why? To avoid the pain of disappointment, right?
So our tactic is to NOT be as happy and grateful because we are afraid we will run out. It’s as if we learn to conserve our childlike emotions. What if there aren’t enough joyful events in life? What if I run out of joyful reactions?
Unlike a child, who fills himself with joy and excitement to such a degree he is nearly bouncing off the walls—we temper, we suppress, we deny.
We fear.
But when we do this—what are we creating? What are we expecting?
To not have a lot to be truly grateful about. Right?
Yet, can you see it? We have programmed ourselves to think this way.
What if you were to fill yourself up with joy and gratitude once again. What might happen?
“Well, I might fall flat on my face,” you say. “I might be disappointed.”
Well, if you live in suppressed gratitude you certainly will. There’s no question there.

Yes, there is risk. There always is. But this is faith. This is intention. This is trusting and knowing that good things are coming your way. Why? Because you are creating a vibration that insists upon it.
If you live in a high joy vibration of gratitude, you must experience things to be grateful about. Like attracts like. This is the law of the Universe—and the universe is committed to return to us what we give out...a hundredfold, and probably more!
But that takes a lot of trust to believe, doesn’t it?
Yes, it does. And it also takes awareness—it takes consciousness.
Do you believe the laws of the universe are real? Do you truly understand the Law of Attraction?
Do you know that your thoughts create?
True—your high joy vibration may also help to release aspects of you that are not in alignment with joy. You may have some old beliefs rear their ugly heads. But as you do, you can say to them, “Oh, I remember you! You’ve kept me bound all of these years. But no more. Thanks for stopping by on your way out…out of my life!”
And let them go. Trust in your high vibration. Release what isn’t you. Release the lies and illusions that have made their home deep within you.
And welcome in the joy.
Let your joy live in you through gratitude.
What do you love and appreciate?

Family? Friends? Sunsets? Strawberry jam on fresh baked bread? The smile of a child?
Even if you aren’t feeling all that grateful right now—you can.
You are the chooser of your thoughts—they don’t create themselves. True, you may have had them running on auto-pilot for a while, or stuck on tapes of low vibrations. But if you were listening to some awful, depressing music, would you keep listening to it?
“Oh, those songs are already playing—I can’t do anything about it. I usually just try to drown them out by doing something else—go shopping, or watch a movie to escape from it.”
No—you would turn it off. Or at least change the CD, right?
The thoughts we let run through our head are like CD’s we choose to play. Our thoughts we play over and over are our song to the Universe. It’s as if our minds are huge transmitter towers, sending out these “radio” waves—these frequencies—about what we want more of in our lives.

What songs are you singing?
Do something different today. Stick in a Gratitude CD. Change your own station by changing the thoughts you CHOOSE TO ALLOW to be in your mind.
Choose thoughts of gratitude. Choose to simply think about that which brings you joy and happiness—even just a little.
Slowly your thoughts will shift. Remember, what we think about is a habit, and just like any other habit, it can take some persistence to shift to something new. But the nice part about changing this habit, is that the more you do it, the better you
Let joy have a place in your life. Welcome it in with thoughts of gratitude. Be aware of the Powerful High Joy Vibration you are sending out. Open your heart to receive.

Sending Love and Light,

Personal Power

Discover How to Use Your Own Subconscious Energies for
Health, Prosperity and Personal Achievement!

"The Personal Power Course" by Wallace D. Wattles

Lesson 1 - Fundamentals

In order to get what you want, you must act; and in order to
act, you must apply force. And it is self-evident
proposition that the force to be applied is one within
yourself. If you are to use external forces, they can only
be made to act by compelling them to obey you; and to compel
them to obey you, you must use your internal force. So,
whether you seek health, wealth, development, position or
happiness, you must expect to get it by applying your own
inward force, and you cannot get it any other way.

Is the force within you sufficient for the task? Yes; the
force within you is all the force there is, and contains the
potentialities of all life. All life is the same, and
contains the same essentials, powers, and possibilities.
Nobody ever had a talent which you have not, either as a
developed or an undeveloped faculty. Nobody ever did a thing
which you cannot do by developing the faculty or talent
required; and since perfection has not been reached in
anything, nobody ever did anything so well but that you can
do it better. It is possible for you to become a better
soldier than Napoleon, a better lawyer than Daniel Webster,
a greater orator than Ingersoll, or a greater inventive
genius than Edison; the power is within you, and it is only
a matter of development. And if you can eat even a very
little food and assimilate it, having it built into new
cells, you can have health. The force which can build a few
new cells can build you a new body, if it is continuously
directed in the right way.

Given, the fact that you have the force, it all becomes a
matter of directing that force. The force being sufficient
for the work, the sole question is whether you can learn to
use it constructively; for we must bear in mind that every
act of force is either constructive or destructive in its
tendency. Nature is always working along two general lines;
integrating atoms, drawing them together into forms, and
scattering and dispersing the same atoms; dissolving the
forms. The same agencies are employed in construction and
destruction; there is no duality, and we do not find two
sets of forces at work. Nature, working with the chemistry
of life, with oxygen and the food particles of matter,
builds a great oak tree; but when it is finished it is
already dead at the heart, and Nature goes on with the same
agencies - oxygen and the chemical processes - to
disintegrate its form. The same oxygen, which is the
principal agent in building our living bodies, is the chief
agency in disintegrating them when dead. It is a matter of
constructive or of destructive use of the same things
whether we have health or sickness, success or failure.

In our bodies, the process of cell construction and of cell
destruction are going on continuously; and whenever cell
destruction in any part is in excess of cell construction,
we are dying in that part. Nothing can save us then but a
reversal of the process; we must make constructive action
equal to, or greater than destructive action. If
constructive action equals destructive, we shall hold our
own and continue to live; if constructive action exceeds
destructive action by even a very little, we shall grow
stronger, and the tissues of our bodies will grow finer in
texture, more flexible and beautiful, and more youthful in
appearance; all these truths are self-evident. What we want,
therefore, is to make constructive action slightly exceed
destructive action in every part, so that a continual
refining process may go on in our physical bodies. This we
can do.

In the matter of business success, we find the same basic
principle obtaining. Business success is a matter of using
certain mental and physical materials so as to combine them
into a certain relationship. To succeed in business, we must
take certain people and certain things, and combine them
together in a certain way; and when we have done this, we
have succeeded. Just as, in building a house, the mason
takes bricks and mortar and combines them into a structure,
so in business we seek to take people, goods, money, and
bring them into such relations to each other as to form a
certain structure. You are trying to build a structure, and
your materials are people, goods, and money.

The certainty and rapidity of the process will depend upon
how great a proportion of your actions are constructive. A
good bricklayer may waste a great deal of time by doing many
things which are not essential to his work at all; he can
kill time in lighting his pipe, and in various other ways.
And a poor bricklayer may lose by imperfect construction;
part of his work may fall down, or he may have to tear it
down, changing activity from the constructive line to the
destructive one. The best bricklayer is he who wastes no
time in irrelevant and negative actions, and who loses none
by destructive action; making every act distinctly rightly
constructive. That is what you must learn to do in business;
make constructive use of every person and thing.

In order to do this in his work, the bricklayer must have a
pretty clear idea of what he wants to build; he must know
whether he is working on a square house, or a circular
chimney. And in order to build your business structure, you
must know what you want. Actions which would be constructive
upon a building of one type would be destructive upon a
building of another type. If you are going to build a brick
house, you will not buy lumber for a frame house; you will
buy brick. And the more clearly you have in mind the house
you wish to build even to its least important details, the
more completely you can provide the necessary materials, and
the more definite and constructive you can make every
action.

I cannot lay too much stress on the necessity of wanting to
do something, and of knowing what you want to do and what
you want to be. You might as well put to sea without knowing
which port you wish to make as to start in life without a
definite purpose. You cannot work constructively unless you
have in mind to construct something; and you must have in
mind a picture of that which you wish to construct. Aim
high; but know what you are aiming at; do not fire into the
air. Hitch your wagon to a star, but know what star it is,
and know why you hitch to it. What kind of structure would a
bricklayer build who was not sure whether he was working on
a circular chimney or a square cottage?

We have now called your attention to two fundamental facts:
first, that you have within you the power to get what you
want; and second, that in order to use this power
constructively, you must KNOW what you want. We now proceed
to the third fact, which is that before you can act
constructively, you must attain to a certain STATE OF MIND.

We will assume that there are two general states of mind,
which we will call the ELECTRICAL and the MAGNETIC. In the
electrical state of mind, your personality resembles a
highly charged electrical conductor. There is a constant
giving off of energy on all sides, most of which escapes,
performing no work. Objects brought near are first violently
attracted, and then as violently repelled. Action is sudden,
powerful, and inconstant; therefore, often ineffectual. The
expenditure of force may be in any direction; there is no
continuity of purpose.

In the magnetic state, there is always an attraction of
certain things, and always a repulsion of others. The action
is fixed, certain, and always in the same direction. There
is no leakage, or waste of force. A magnet is a center
toward which certain things are irresistibly impelled to
move, and from which certain things are as irresistibly
driven. So among men, the electrical person sometimes
attracts and as often repels those whose friendship he
seeks, but the magnetic person always attracts those whom he
seeks to attract. The actions of the electrical personality
are often destructive and disintegrating; but every act of
the magnetic person is a constructive act. So we must learn
to avoid the electrical mental state, and cultivate the
magnetic state.

As physical friction generates electricity, so mental
friction causes the electrical state of mind. Worry is
mental friction, and the one and only cause of worry is
fear. Where fear is present, worry is also present. It is
all very well to talk of the uselessness of worry, the folly
of it, and so on; and it is all very well to tell you not to
worry, but you cannot help worrying, so long as you have any
fear as to the future. You can only eliminate worry by
eliminating fear. You cannot get rid of worry by telling
yourself that it is useless, foolish and harmful; so long as
you have fear, you will worry just the same.

And you will have fear just as long as you have doubt or
uncertainty. So long as you have doubt or uncertainty as to
whether you will get well, you will worry about your health;
so long as you have doubt or uncertainty as to whether you
will succeed in business, you will worry about failure; and
so on. Where there is no doubt or uncertainty as to future
health or success there can be no fear, and where there is
no fear, there can be no worry, or mental friction. So long
as there is doubt or uncertainty there must be fear; and as
long as there is fear, there will be worry, mental friction,
and the electrical state of mind, resulting in destructive
action. So you must eliminate from your thoughts all doubt
and uncertainty that you will get well; that you will
succeed; that you will gain your point and get what you
want. You may have some uncertainty as to methods, but you
must have none as to ultimate results. You may not feel
certain that you will succeed today, or next week, but you
must feel certain that you will succeed sometime.

Now, nothing can eliminate doubt but faith; and only
certainty can remove uncertainty. How can you make yourself
CERTAIN that you will get well, and that you will succeed?
You can only do it by BELIEVING something; by getting down
to some basic FACT, the knowledge of which will give you
certainty. And here is the basic fact, stated in several
ways:

You have within you the power which can give you perfect
health; if constructively used, it WILL give you perfect
health, and you can certainly learn to use it correctly. So
there is no uncertainty as to health.

You have within you the power which can bring you to
abundance; if constructively used it WILL bring you to
abundance, and you can certainly learn to use it
constructively. So there is no uncertainty about wealth.

You have within you the power which can develop any or all
of your talents; if constructively used it WILL develop
them, and you can certainly learn to use it constructively.
So there is no doubt about development.

Now, you have the bad habit of thinking of these things as
matters of uncertainty; and you must get rid of this habit,
and form the one of thinking of them as matters of
certainty. This you can do by making the power within you
the subject of constant meditation; by thinking it all the
time. As an abstract proposition, you know that you can get
what you want; keep thinking about this as a fact until you
HABITUALLY think that you can get what you want; and then
keep on meditating and considering until you continually
FEEL that you can get what you want. Continuous meditation
upon the fact that you CAN get what you want will in a very
short time establish feeling that you CERTAINLY WILL get
what you want; and when that feeling is established, you
will enter the poised, or magnetic state of mind. It is not
enough to merely give your intellectual assent to the
proposition that you have within you the power which can;
you must FEEL that you have this power; and the feeling is
only established by continuously meditating upon the FACT.

For a month, then spend all the time you possibly can in
pondering upon the fact that you have within you the power
which CAN accomplish what you want. It is not a theory or a
supposition, but a fact; think of it as a fact until you
feel that it IS a fact, and then you will have taken that
first great forward step in constructive thought and action.

Sharing

Let me share a few thoughts with you:

Abundance or Wealth is not about 'Having' but is about 'Being'.

If the whole Earth were to live at the same level as the States, it would take six or seven planets to reach that goal.

We do not need higher consumptions. We do need higher Consciousness.

Looking for financial success should be mainly directed toward altruistic goals...

And, as Gandhi stated: "The World contains much enough for each one needs, but not enough for every one greed"

Sharing is what matters, in one form or another.

When we know what's going on in the world, with all the pollution and the misery which rich countries are greatly responsible for, I think it's essential that spiritually minded people could promote alternative ways of consumption, about energy and food...

As wealthy as possible, yet simple!

Here is Gandhi again:

"Let's live simply, that simply others may live"

Money Illusion

From "A Happy Pocket Full of Money "
by David Cameron

Money: An illusion, a shadow of something else...

The first step to having wealth is to know what it is. And few people know what it really is, in and of itself. What is wealth? What causes it? What causes the cause of it? Let us start with money, the world"s symbol of wealth, and then move deeper.

Money is not real.

Money is merely legal tender, a form of exchange. We use it to exchange value. It represents value.

Money is the "body" of value. It is the physical representation of value that rises and falls in ourselves, within us. Not within "things" outside of us, but within us. For without us, what can the value of a thing, such as a car, be to us? Nothing, at least not to us. In other words, it is we, the observers, that place value in things, but this value is really value in us - we give value to the material things. The material things have no "money" value in themselves - we give that to them. So, money is the external physical representation of a particular section of our internal value, within us, within you. That is why a house or a block of shares valued at $1 million today can fall to a valuation of half a million dollars tomorrow when fear is introduced into the hearts of those involved. The fear kills a portion of the internal values of the participants and that is reflected by the paper money, the "body" of value.

Here is something else: physical paper money does not e ven represent money in full. It cannot reasonably do that. By some estimates (and this varies from nation to nation), only as little as 4% of the money in the banks exists as paper cash. Imagine how much cotton, linen, pulp, and metal the world would need so as to make all the money everyone has in his or her bank accounts. Imagine how much space it would take to store all this money in paper form. If you were to stack only one million US$1 bills, it would weigh one ton and be 361 ft high. Neither does mone y exist as gold reserves any more. This is for exactly the same reason - we ran out of the reasonable ability to keep a gold standard in the 1970s.

So what does it exist as, the money that we are always talking about? Well, it is one massive illusion. It is all just numbers written on paper and computer storage devices, and assigned to people and entities such as companies and investments, or more accurately, further records! To put it in another way, for every $100 or its equivalent in any other currency, only about $4 exists as printed-paper notes or coins, while the remaining $96 exists as numbers written on papers and computers in banks and businesses and other entities. The only reason this system does not collapse is that we all believe in it. The last time people stopped believing in it in a large enough extent was just before the Depression when large numbers of people rushed to their banks to withdraw their money and found that they could not all get it. This is not what caused the Great Depression, but it in a large way accelerated it.

So, money is not real - something else is. Money is just the shadow of that other something. The first step to wealth is to know what money really is, or more accurately, what it represents. Learn not to look at the money most of the time. As you will soon see, it is very rare in a day that you should ever look at money as you know it today - the cash, the bank accounts, the costs, etc. This is merely the shadow and not the real thing. Looking at the shadow, the p hysical money, as you will soon see, is most of the time very unwise and unhealthy for you and your finances.

Look, instead, at the value within you and within people, and the flowing and exchanging of this value between people. Our internal value, is what creates money. Money is the shadow of our internal value. Develop this internal value in yourself and in others and your external money and wealth will correspondingly rise automatically, without fail.

Know this however: Money represents an aspect of a person"s internal value, but that does not mean that it represents a person"s entire internal value. That is very important. It is not about self-worth. Money only represents an aspect of that internal value that pertains to wealth. You cannot therefore say that a wealthy person has a higher self-worth and value than a poor person, but you can correctly say that in matters that relate and pertain to money, the wealthy person has a higher internal value in that aspect of value or that the person chooses to exercise a higher proportion of this internal value. This section of internal value that reflects on the outside as money, when exercised, is called Wealth Consciousness. It is available to all people equally and can be developed by and within all people equa lly. Like everything else that is important to our being alive, such as air, wealth consciousness is free to all. But you can choose to develop it or not develop it, or to exercise it or not. At any time, you can change your choice, and nothing outside of you can stop you.

You require nothing outside of yourself to increase your wealth consciousness, and therefore your money. All you need is within you right now. You may have forgotten it, but it is right there. You will now remember it. And the first step to that is to always remember that money is not real; it is the shadow of something else.

And here is another secret: Wealth consciousness is simply the expansion of your consciousness and awareness into the wealthy parts of your Self. That is why all that you need to increase your wealth consciousness is within you already. You are already wealthy, but you have been taught to choose to not experience your wealth. This insight changes everything. Like the wealthy people, you can now know how to and choose to start experiencing the wealthy you.

You have more wealth capability within you than you can possibly experience in a lifetime. You need not worry that you have reached your limit of becoming wealthy in any way or because of any condition. Neither do you need to know how to convert wealth consciousness into paper cash money - as you will see, it will happen automatically. All you need to do is expand your wealth consciousness and exercise it, act on it, be it, and the situations and opportunities for the equivalent conversion into cash money will present themselves automatically to you. None of the extremely wealthy people today could have, at the time when they were not wealthy, possibly predicted and planned the exact sequence of events that would lead to their immense wealth. They most probably had a set of goals and a plan, but any one of them will tell you that they met countless "coincidences" and opportunities that "joined the dots" for them in ways they could never have predicted. Their goals were their own doing, but the paths that led to them coming into being, and exceeding them, were amazingly intelligent yet unforeseen. You shall now see how to make them happen in your life - you may not be able to predict their sequence, but you can certainly make these "fortunate coincidences" happen to you every day of your life.

By the way, it is not only paper money that is not real. A lot of the things around you that you hold so real are really not real at all either. You are about to embark on a beautiful, empowering and liberating journey that will show you exactly what your world is in a way that you have never looked at it before. It is a journey that will open your eyes and free your wings. You are about to look "under the hood" of the Life, you are about to learn how to customize your world to your liking.

You are about to attain Wealth Consciousness. Once you do, avoiding success and wealth will become very difficult. Yes, you read that correctly. Once you have wealth consciousness, it will be very difficult for you to not have success and wealth. Success and wealth will follow you automatically wherever you go. You will not need to concern yourself with their quest, yet they will find you. You will be free to experience other aspects of life that you may not have even dreamt of before, dimensions of Self and Life that are truly amazing. The same goes with happiness, for you will see it here in this book as well.
